A Community Engagement Initiative at Anna Nagar Tower Park

On Saturday, December 21, 2024, Anna Nagar Tower Park was the venue for UWC On-Ground, an initiative by United Way of Chennai designed to foster community engagement through a structured day of interaction, activities, and cultural performances.

Raising Awareness Through Street Theater

The event featured an impactful street theater performance, presented by social work students, with the objective of raising awareness on critical social issues. Their compelling storytelling effectively highlighted various community concerns, engaging the audience in meaningful discourse.

Showcasing Cultural Heritage Through Dance

To celebrate traditional art forms, the event included performances of Oyil Attam and Parai Attam, executed by Master of Social Work (MSW) students. These dynamic performances provided an engaging experience for attendees.

Encouraging Creativity Among Children

A painting competition was organized for children, offering them an opportunity to express their creativity through art. The enthusiastic participation and imaginative artwork of the young participants added a vibrant and inspiring element to the event.
